When God took a covenant from the prophets, saying, “I have given you the Book and wisdom, and then a messenger comes to you confirming what you have, you must believe in him and support him.” God asked, “Do you agree and accept this responsibility?” They said, “We agree.” God said, “Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

God wants you to know
Explanation
God wants you to know that He made a sacred promise with all prophets to ensure unity in their message. This verse describes a covenant where God gave prophets scriptures and wisdom, instructing them to believe in and support a future messenger who would confirm their teachings. Many scholars interpret this as a reference to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), whose message aligns with earlier revelations. The covenant shows God’s plan for continuity in divine guidance, emphasizing that all prophets are part of one mission to guide humanity to truth. The agreement was not casual; it was a serious commitment. When God asked the prophets if they accepted this responsibility, their response, “We agree,” reflects their willingness to uphold this duty. This teaches believers the importance of sincerity and accountability. God wants you to know that promises to Him are binding, and fulfilling them strengthens faith. The prophets’ agreement serves as a model for us to honor commitments, especially in supporting truth and righteousness. Finally, God’s command to “bear witness” and His statement, “I am with you among the witnesses,” highlight His role as the ultimate observer. God wants you to know that He sees all actions and intentions. This verse encourages believers to stay true to their faith, support God’s messengers, and recognize the unity of divine messages. It reminds us that God’s guidance is consistent, and we must actively uphold it in our lives with sincerity and dedication.
Verse 82
ŁَŁ َŁ ŲŖَŁَŁَّŁٰ ŲØَŲ¹ْŲÆَ Ų°َٰŁِŁَ ŁَŲ£ُŁŁَٰŲ¦ِŁَ ŁُŁ ُ Ų§ŁْŁَŲ§Ų³ِŁُŁŁَ
Meaning:
Whoever turns away after this covenant, they are the disobedient (wrongdoers).
Explanation :
God wants you to know that rejecting the covenant with the prophets is a serious act of disobedience. This verse follows the promise made by the prophets to believe in and support the final messenger. Turning away from this commitment, after receiving clear guidance, marks someone as a “fasiq” (disobedient or wrongdoer). This term refers to those who knowingly reject the truth, showing defiance against God’s command. The verse serves as a warning to those who ignore divine guidance despite clear evidence. God wants you to know that accountability comes with knowledge. The prophets, having received scriptures and wisdom, were entrusted with a responsibility, and their followers are similarly accountable. For believers today, this means recognizing and following the truth when it is presented, whether through scriptures or the teachings of God’s messengers. Rejecting this guidance out of pride, ignorance, or stubbornness leads to spiritual loss and straying from God’s path.Furthermore, the verse emphasizes the consequences of turning away from faith. God wants you to know that disobedience is not just a mistake but a deliberate choice with consequences. It calls for self-reflection, urging us to evaluate whether we are honoring the truth we know. For the broader community, it highlights the importance of unity in following divine guidance, avoiding division or rejection of God’s message. By staying faithful to the covenant’s spirit, believers uphold the legacy of the prophets and align themselves with God’s will, fostering a life of righteousness and purpose.
Verse 83:
Ų£َŁَŲŗَŁْŲ±َ ŲÆِŁŁِ Ų§ŁŁَّŁِ ŁَŲØْŲŗُŁŁَ ŁَŁَŁُ Ų£َŲ³ْŁَŁ َ Ł َŁ ŁِŁ Ų§ŁŲ³َّŁ َŲ§ŁَŲ§ŲŖِ ŁَŲ§ŁْŲ£َŲ±ْŲ¶ِ Ų·َŁْŲ¹ًŲ§ ŁَŁَŲ±ْŁًŲ§ ŁَŲ„ِŁَŁْŁِ ŁُŲ±ْŲ¬َŲ¹ُŁŁَ
Meaning:
Do they seek a religion other than God’s, when everything in the heavens and earth submits to Him, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will return?
Explanation :
God wants you to know that His religion is the ultimate truth, as everything in existence submits to His will. This verse questions why anyone would seek a path other than Islam (submission to God), when all creation—angels, planets, animals, and humans—obeys God’s authority, whether by choice or by nature. The phrase “willingly or unwillingly” shows that submission is universal; some, like believers, choose it freely, while others, like natural forces, follow it inherently. The verse challenges those who reject God’s guidance, asking why they pursue alternatives when the entire universe aligns with His command. God wants you to know that true peace comes from embracing His religion, which is rooted in submission to His will. This submission is not forced but a natural response to recognizing God’s authority. For believers, it’s a reminder to stay steadfast in faith, avoiding distractions or false ideologies that lead away from the truth. Finally, the phrase “to Him they will return” emphasizes accountability. God wants you to know that everyone will face Him on the Day of Judgment, where their choices will be judged. This verse encourages humility and reflection, urging us to align our lives with God’s guidance. It also highlights the harmony of the universe under God’s command, inspiring believers to live in sync with this divine order, submitting willingly to His will and preparing for their ultimate return to Him with faith and good deeds.
Verse 84:
ŁُŁْ آ٠َŁَّŲ§ ŲØِŲ§ŁŁَّŁِ ŁَŁ َŲ§ Ų£ُŁŲ²ِŁَ Ų¹َŁَŁْŁَŲ§ ŁَŁ َŲ§ Ų£ُŁŲ²ِŁَ Ų¹َŁَŁٰ Ų„ِŲØْŲ±َŲ§ŁِŁŁ َ ŁَŲ„ِŲ³ْŁ َŲ§Ų¹ِŁŁَ ŁَŲ„ِŲ³ْŲَŲ§Łَ ŁَŁَŲ¹ْŁُŁŲØَ ŁَŲ§ŁْŲ£َŲ³ْŲØَŲ§Ų·ِ ŁَŁ َŲ§ Ų£ُŁŲŖِŁَ Ł ُŁŲ³َŁٰ ŁَŲ¹ِŁŲ³َŁٰ ŁَŲ§ŁŁَّŲØِŁُّŁŁَ Ł ِŁ Ų±َّŲØِّŁِŁ ْ ŁَŲ§ ŁُŁَŲ±ِّŁُ ŲØَŁْŁَ Ų£َŲَŲÆٍ Ł ِّŁْŁُŁ ْ ŁَŁَŲْŁُ ŁَŁُ Ł ُŲ³ْŁِŁ ُŁŁَ
Meaning:
Say, “We believe in God and what was revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.”
Explanation :
God wants you to know that true faith involves believing in all of God’s messengers equally. This verse instructs believers to declare their faith in God and all revelations sent to prophets, from Abraham to Jesus, without favoring one over another. It emphasizes the unity of God’s message across time, showing that Islam accepts the truth revealed to earlier prophets, including those in Judaism and Christianity, as part of one divine plan.By stating “we make no distinction between any of them,” the verse teaches inclusivity in faith. God wants you to know that rejecting any prophet is like rejecting the entire chain of divine guidance. This unity strengthens the belief that all prophets brought the same core message: worship one God and live righteously. For believers, this calls for respect and acknowledgment of all prophets, fostering harmony among followers of different faiths who share belief in God’s revelations. The closing phrase, “to Him we submit,” reinforces the essence of Islam—complete submission to God. God wants you to know that faith is not about picking and choosing but about embracing God’s guidance wholly. This verse encourages believers to live with sincerity, following the example of prophets who dedicated their lives to God’s message. It also serves as a reminder to remain humble and united, recognizing that all divine revelations lead to the same truth, guiding humanity toward submission to God and a life of purpose and devotion.
Verse 85:
ŁَŁ َŁ ŁَŲØْŲŖَŲŗِ ŲŗَŁْŲ±َ Ų§ŁْŲ„ِŲ³ْŁَŲ§Ł ِ ŲÆِŁŁًŲ§ ŁَŁَŁ ŁُŁْŲØَŁَ Ł ِŁْŁُ ŁَŁُŁَ ŁِŁ Ų§ŁْŲ¢Ų®ِŲ±َŲ©ِ Ł ِŁَ Ų§ŁْŲ®َŲ§Ų³ِŲ±ِŁŁَ
Meaning:
Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from them, and in the Hereafter, they will be among the losers.
Explanation :
God wants you to know that Islam, meaning complete submission to His will, is the only path He accepts. This verse declares that choosing a way of life other than Islam—understood as the universal principle of submitting to God—leads to spiritual failure. It emphasizes that God’s final guidance, perfected through Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), is the culmination of all previous revelations, making it the definitive path for humanity. This statement is not about intolerance but about clarity. God wants you to know that true success lies in aligning with His guidance, which is rooted in monotheism and righteousness. The verse addresses those who knowingly reject this path despite understanding its truth, warning that such a choice leads to loss in the Hereafter. For believers, it’s a call to remain steadfast in faith, living according to God’s commands with sincerity and devotion, knowing that this is the way to earn His approval. The phrase “among the losers” highlights the eternal consequences of rejecting God’s guidance. God wants you to know that life’s purpose is to seek His pleasure through submission, and straying from this path risks spiritual ruin. This verse encourages self-reflection, urging individuals to evaluate their beliefs and actions. It also motivates believers to share Islam’s message with kindness, inviting others to the path of submission to God, which offers peace in this life and salvation in the Hereafter, ensuring a meaningful and fulfilling existence.
