God wants you to know
Explanation:
God wants you to know that turning away from faith after accepting it is a serious matter. This verse speaks about people who believed in Allah and His Messenger but later chose to reject the truth. They had clear signs, like the Prophet’s teachings and miracles, yet they denied them. This rejection is not just a mistake but an act of wrongdoing, as they knowingly turned away from what they recognized as true. Allah’s guidance is always available, but those who deliberately choose disbelief close their hearts to it. Guidance is a gift from Allah, given to those who seek it sincerely. When someone rejects faith after receiving clear evidence, they are unjust to themselves, and Allah does not force guidance on those who persist in wrongdoing. The verse reminds us to stay firm in faith and avoid letting doubts or worldly desires lead us astray. It’s a call to value the truth we’ve been shown and to remain steadfast.
Verse 87 Arabic:
Ų£ُŁŁَٰŲ¦ِŁَ Ų¬َŲ²َŲ§Ų¤ُŁُŁ ْ Ų£َŁَّ Ų¹َŁَŁْŁِŁ ْ ŁَŲ¹ْŁَŲ©َ Ų§ŁŁَّŁِ ŁَŲ§ŁْŁ َŁَŲ§Ų¦ِŁَŲ©ِ ŁَŲ§ŁŁَّŲ§Ų³ِ Ų£َŲ¬ْŁ َŲ¹ِŁŁَ
Meaning: Those people, their punishment is that the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people is upon them.
Explanation :
God wants you to know that rejecting faith after accepting it has severe consequences. This verse describes the punishment for those mentioned in the previous verse—people who turn away from the truth knowingly. Their actions lead to a “curse,” meaning they are distanced from Allah’s mercy, the blessings of the angels, and the goodwill of humanity. This isn’t just a physical punishment but a spiritual state of being cut off from goodness. By choosing disbelief, they lose the connection to Allah’s guidance and the support of the righteous. The mention of “all people” shows that their rejection is so grave that it’s universally condemned by those who value truth. This verse warns us to take our faith seriously and understand the weight of our choices. Turning away from Allah after knowing His truth isolates a person from divine mercy and the community of believers. It’s a reminder to stay humble, seek forgiveness, and hold fast to faith to avoid such a fate.
Verse 88 Arabic:
Ų®َŲ§ŁِŲÆِŁŁَ ŁِŁŁَŲ§ ۖ ŁَŲ§ ŁُŲ®َŁَّŁُ Ų¹َŁْŁُŁ ُ Ų§ŁْŲ¹َŲ°َŲ§ŲØُ ŁَŁَŲ§ ŁُŁ ْ ŁُŁŲøَŲ±ُŁŁَ
Meaning: They will remain in that state forever. Their punishment will not be lightened, nor will they be given a break.
Explanation :
God wants you to know that rejecting faith after embracing it leads to a lasting consequence. This verse explains that those who turn away from the truth will stay in their state of punishment without relief. The “curse” mentioned earlier isn’t temporary—it’s eternal, meaning they will remain separated from Allah’s mercy forever. Their punishment won’t be reduced, and they won’t get a chance to pause or escape it. This shows the seriousness of knowingly rejecting Allah’s guidance after receiving clear signs. The verse urges us to reflect on our actions and their long-term effects. It’s a reminder to stay committed to faith and seek Allah’s forgiveness before it’s too late. Allah is merciful, but He is also just, and those who persist in disbelief after knowing the truth face a permanent loss. This verse encourages sincerity and perseverance in faith to avoid such an outcome.
Verse 89 Arabic:
Ų„ِŁَّŲ§ Ų§ŁَّŲ°ِŁŁَ ŲŖَŲ§ŲØُŁŲ§ Ł ِŁ ŲØَŲ¹ْŲÆِ Ų°َٰŁِŁَ ŁَŲ£َŲµْŁَŲُŁŲ§ ŁَŲ„ِŁَّ Ų§ŁŁَّŁَ ŲŗَŁُŁŲ±ٌ Ų±َّŲِŁŁ ٌ
Meaning: Except those who repent afterward and make amends, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Explanation :
God wants you to know that His mercy is vast, even for those who stray. This verse offers hope, showing that Allah accepts those who sincerely repent and correct their ways. If someone turns back to Allah after rejecting faith, and they work to fix their mistakes, Allah is ready to forgive. His names “Forgiving” and “Merciful” highlight His willingness to pardon those who return to Him with a sincere heart. Repentance isn’t just feeling sorry—it involves changing one’s actions and striving to do good. This verse is a reminder that no matter how far someone has gone astray, Allah’s door of mercy is always open if they truly seek it. It encourages us to never lose hope in Allah’s forgiveness and to act quickly to correct our wrongs. The verse also shows the balance between Allah’s justice and mercy—while punishment is severe for those who persist in disbelief, forgiveness is readily available for those who turn back to Him.
Verse 90 Arabic:
Ų„ِŁَّ Ų§ŁَّŲ°ِŁŁَ ŁَŁَŲ±ُŁŲ§ ŲØَŲ¹ْŲÆَ Ų„ِŁŁ َŲ§ŁِŁِŁ ْ Ų«ُŁ َّ Ų§Ų²ْŲÆَŲ§ŲÆُŁŲ§ ŁُŁْŲ±ًŲ§ ŁَŁ ŲŖُŁْŲØَŁَ ŲŖَŁْŲØَŲŖُŁُŁ ْ ŁَŲ£ُŁŁَٰŲ¦ِŁَ ŁُŁ ُ Ų§ŁŲ¶َّŲ§ŁُّŁŁَ
Meaning: Indeed, those who disbelieve after their belief and then increase in disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted, and they are the ones who are truly lost.
Explanation :
God wants you to know that persistence in disbelief after knowing the truth has a point of no return. This verse warns about those who not only reject faith after accepting it but also deepen their disbelief by continuing to deny the truth. Their hearts become so hardened that even if they claim to repent, it’s not sincere, and Allah, who knows their true intentions, will not accept it. Being “truly lost” means they are far from Allah’s guidance, wandering in confusion and error. This verse highlights the danger of repeatedly rejecting the truth, as it can lead to a state where repentance becomes insincere or impossible. It’s a call to act quickly to return to faith before the heart becomes too hardened. Allah’s mercy is vast, but it requires genuine effort and sincerity. The verse urges us to avoid stubbornness and to seek Allah’s guidance before it’s too late, emphasizing the importance of staying connected to faith and avoiding paths that lead further away from the truth.
