Verse no 02
"Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwal Haiyul Qaiyoom"
Allah is He. There is no other, cannot be, and will never be one worthy of worship but He. He is the Living, the Self-Subsisting, and All-Sustaining.
Surah Al Imran, the third chapter of the Quran, starts with the verse "Alif Lam Mim." These disjointed Arabic letters are known as "huruf muqatta'at" and appear at the beginning of several chapters in the Quran. Their true meaning is unknown, inviting believers to deeply reflect on their significance. These letters are a profound reminder of the divine origin of the Quran and the limitations of human understanding regarding God's wisdom and knowledge.
In the second verse of Surah Al Imran, Allah tells you that "Allah is He. There is no other, cannot be, and will never be one worthy of worship but He. He is the Living, the Self-Subsisting, and All-Sustaining." This verse strongly affirms the oneness and uniqueness of Allah, emphasizing that He alone deserves worship. The focus on God's eternal and self-sustaining nature underscores His supreme authority and existence, which is independent of any external factors.
The verse also highlights that Allah is "the Living," meaning He is eternal, without beginning or end. This eternal life is the source of all existence, in contrast with the temporary and dependent nature of created beings. "The Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining" further illustrate that Allah maintains and governs the universe without any need for support. Everything in creation depends on Him, while He depends on nothing, showcasing His omnipotence and the essential dependence of all creatures on their Creator.
By reflecting on these profound attributes of Allah, believers are reminded of their ultimate purpose and the central principle of Islamic faith: the absolute monotheism of God. This understanding fosters a deep sense of humility, gratitude, and devotion, reinforcing the commitment to worship and obey Allah alone, recognizing His unmatched greatness and mercy.
Verse no 03
"Nazzala ‘alaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi musaddiqal limaa baina yadaihi wa anzalat Tawraata wal Injeel"
He has revealed to you gradually this perfect Book (-the Qur'an) which meets all your requirements, fulfilling that (prophecies in the Scriptures) which preceded it and which still remain. He revealed the Torah and the Evangel,
God wants you to know that He has gradually revealed this perfect Book, the Qur'an, which fulfills all your needs. This divine scripture completes the prophecies and teachings found in earlier scriptures, affirming their truth and completing their message. The Qur'an serves as a comprehensive guide that covers every aspect of human life, offering wisdom, guidance, and solutions for both spiritual and worldly matters.
In addition to the Qur'an, Allah revealed the Torah and the Evangel. The Torah, given to Moses, provided laws and commandments to guide the Children of Israel. It laid the foundation for moral and ethical principles. The Evangel, or Gospel, was revealed to Jesus, delivering teachings of love, forgiveness, and the coming of Allah's kingdom. These scriptures played crucial roles in their times, guiding their respective communities toward faith and righteousness.
Allah's method of revealing scriptures gradually through different prophets demonstrates His continuous care and guidance for humanity. By sending successive revelations, He ensured that His message reached different people and cultures, each tailored to the specific needs of its time. This continuity highlights the unity and coherence of Allah's overall plan for human salvation and well-being.
Allah wants you to know that the Qur'an serves as the final and complete revelation. It not only reaffirms the messages of the Torah and the Gospel but also provides a universal and eternal guide for all of humanity. Understanding and respecting these revelations is essential for appreciating the full scope of divine guidance. The Qur'an's comprehensive nature makes it a perfect and timeless manual for those seeking truth and righteousness in every aspect of their lives.
Verse no 04
"Min qablu hudal linnaasi wa anzalal Furqaan; innallazeena kafaroo bi Aayaatil laahi lahum ‘azaabun shadeed; wallaahu ‘azeezun zun tiqaam"
Before this, as a guidance of the people. And He has revealed (the Qur'an as) the Criterion of judgment (between truth and falsehood). Those who deny the revelations of Allah there surely awaits them a severe punishment. Mighty is Allah, the Lord of Retribution.
God wants you to know that the Qur'an is divine guidance for humanity, offering clarity and discernment between truth and falsehood. This message is emphasized in verse 4 of Surah Al Imran, which highlights the Qur'an's role as a Criterion of judgment. It serves as a beacon, illuminating the path for those who seek righteousness and the true knowledge of Allah's will.
Before the revelation of the Qur'an, Allah had already provided guidance through previous scriptures and prophets. Each of these revelations aimed to lead people toward a life of virtue and spiritual awareness. The Qur'an, however, stands out as the final and complete guidance, encapsulating the ultimate truths necessary for human salvation and moral integrity.
Those who reject Allah's revelations, as stated in this verse, are warned of severe consequences. Denial of divine signs and messages is not taken lightly, as it reflects profound disobedience and ingratitude towards the Creator. The verse underscores the gravity of such disbelief, indicating that a severe punishment awaits those who persist in their denial.
Allah's might and authority as the Lord of Retribution are further affirmed in this verse. It serves as a reminder of His power and justice, assuring believers that righteousness will prevail and that those who oppose divine guidance will face just recompense. Thus, the verse calls for reflection on one's faith and adherence to the divine guidance provided through the Qur'an, urging believers to uphold truth and righteousness in their lives.
Verse no 05
"Innal laaha laa yakhfaa ‘alaihi shai’un fil ardi wa laa fis samaaa’"
As to Allah, verily nothing in this earth nor in the space above is hidden (from His view).
Allah wants you to know that nothing on earth or in the vast space above is hidden from Him. Allah is aware of everything, whether it is big or small, visible or invisible. His knowledge is perfect and all-encompassing, covering every detail of the universe.
Consider the tiniest particle on this planet or the farthest star in the galaxy; Allah knows it all. There is no secret that can be kept from Him, no action that can go unnoticed. His watchful eye sees everything, from the movements of the planets to the thoughts in our hearts.
This verse from Surah Al Imran emphasizes Allah’s omniscience and His ability to see beyond our limited perception. As humans, we might miss out on details or be unaware of certain things, but Allah’s vision and knowledge have no such limits. He knows the past, present, and future, and nothing escapes His awareness.
God wants you to know this to remind us of His presence and encourage us to live righteously. Knowing that Allah sees everything should inspire us to act with integrity and honesty. It serves as a powerful reminder that our deeds, thoughts, and intentions are always within His sight, guiding us to lead a life that aligns with His will.
