God wants you to know
"God wants you to know" the words of those who truly believe in Him and seek His mercy. In verse 16 of Surah Al Imran, these believers turn to God with a sincere heart and say, "Our Lord! We have certainly believed." This shows their unwavering faith and trust in God's power and wisdom. They acknowledge that belief is the foundation of their relationship with Him.
The believers continue their plea by asking God to protect them from the consequences of their sins. They understand that humans are prone to mistakes, and they humbly request forgiveness for their shortcomings. This shows their awareness of their own flaws and their desire for God's mercy to cleanse their hearts and souls.
Furthermore, they pray to be saved from the punishment of the Fire. This reflects their fear of God's displeasure and the severe consequences that could come from failing to follow His guidance. It demonstrates their understanding of the importance of living a righteous life, as well as their hope for salvation and eternal peace.
"God wants you to know" that these verses encourage every believer to have faith, seek forgiveness, and strive to avoid actions that would lead to His anger. It is a reminder that God's mercy is vast, and He is always ready to forgive those who turn to Him with sincerity and humility. By keeping this in mind, believers can strengthen their relationship with God and work towards a life that pleases Him.
Verse no 17
Assaabireena wassaa diqeena walqaaniteena walmunfiqeena walmus taghfireena bil ashaar
(And those who are) the patiently persevering, the truthful and the obedient, and those who spend (liberally in the cause of Allah) and the implorers of Divine protection in the latter part of the night (and from the core of their hearts).
*God wants you to know* that patience is a powerful virtue. In life, challenges are inevitable, and those who patiently persevere through them are truly strong. Patience isn't just about waiting; it's about maintaining faith and staying committed even when times are tough. This strength of spirit helps one face difficulties with grace and resilience.
Truthfulness is another important quality that God values. Being truthful means being honest in all aspects of life, whether it's in speech, actions, or thoughts. A truthful person stands firm on their principles and always seeks to do what is right, even if it's not the easiest path. Living truthfully helps build trust and brings peace to one's soul.
Obedience to God is a key part of living a fulfilling life. It means following God's guidance and commandments with sincerity and devotion. When people are obedient to God, they align themselves with His will, seeking to live in a way that pleases Him. This obedience brings a sense of purpose and direction in life, helping believers stay on the right path.
Moreover, God wants you to know the importance of generosity and seeking His protection. Those who spend in the cause of Allah do so with open hearts, understanding that their wealth is a blessing meant to be shared. In the quiet hours of the night, they seek divine protection, showing their deep faith and reliance on God. This dedication to seeking God’s mercy and protection reflects a heart that is humble and devoted to the Creator.
Verse no 18
Shahidal laahu annahoo laa ilaaha illaa Huwa walmalaaa’ikatu wa ulul ‘ilmi qaaa’imam bilqist; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwal ‘Azeezul Hakeem
Allah bears witness that there is no other, cannot be and will never be one worthy of worship but He, and (so do) the angels and those possessed of true knowledge, maintaining justice. There is no other, cannot be and will never be one worthy of worship but He, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
"God wants you to know"that He alone is worthy of worship. This truth is witnessed by Allah Himself, and it is also affirmed by the angels and those who possess deep knowledge. Their understandings comes from a place of clarity and righteousness, always seeking to maintain justice and fairness in everything they do.
In this verse from Surah Al Imran, Allah emphasizes that no one else is worthy of worship besides Him. It’s a clear declaration of the oneness of God, highlighting that there has never been, and there will never be, any other entity that deserves our devotion. The idea is simple yet profound: worship is meant for the Creator alone, not for any other being or object.
The angels, who are pure beings created by God, also bear witness to this truth. Alongside them, the learned people—those who have been blessed with true knowledge and insight—understand this fundamental principle. Their knowledge guides them to uphold justice, recognizing that acknowledging the oneness of God is central to a just and balanced life.
This verse reminds us that God is the All-Mighty and All-Wise. "God wants you to know" that He is the source of all wisdom and power. By turning to Him alone, we align ourselves with the ultimate truth and wisdom. In doing so, we also commit to a path of justice and righteousness, reflecting the divine attributes of the one true God.
Verse no 19
Innad deena ‘indal laahil Islaam; wa makhtalafal lazeena ootul Kitaaba illaa mim ba’di maa jaaa’ahumul ‘ilmu baghyam bainahum; wa mai yakfur bi Aayaatil laahi fa innal laaha saree’ul hisaab
Decidedly, the true Faith acceptable to Allâh is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture were not at variance except after the knowledge had come to them; (their differences were) due to mutual envy and to spite one another. And who so denies the Messages of Allah (should bear in mind that) then Allah indeed is Quick at reckoning.
"God wants you to know" that the true religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. This is the path that He has chosen for His creation, a way of life that brings peace, justice, and truth. Islam is not just a set of rituals but a complete code of life that guides human beings in all aspects of their existence. It teaches submission to the will of Allah and living a life of righteousness and morality.
Those who were given the Scriptures before Islam—like the Torah and the Bible—were aware of the truth. However, they began to differ among themselves, not because of ignorance, but due to envy and rivalry. Their disagreements were driven by worldly desires and pride, rather than a genuine pursuit of divine guidance. These divisions led them away from the path of unity and truth that God had intended for them.
"God wants you to know" that those who deny His messages and turn away from the guidance He has sent will face consequences. Allah is aware of all actions, and His reckoning is swift. It serves as a reminder that accountability is inevitable, and no deed, whether good or bad, goes unnoticed by Him.
In the end, it is important to remember that Allah's judgment is just and fair. He knows what is in our hearts and what motivates our actions. Therefore, we must strive to live according to His teachings, embracing Islam fully and sincerely. Only then can we hope to attain His mercy and avoid His swift retribution.
Verse no 20
Fa in haaajjooka faqul aslamtu wajhiya lillaahi wa manit taba’an; wa qul lillazeena ootul Kitaaba wal ummiyyeena ‘a-aslamtum; fa in aslamoo faqadih tadaw wa in tawallaw fa innamaa ‘alaikal balaagh; wallaahu baseerum bil ‘ibaad (section 2)
But if they dispute with you say, 'I have completely submitted myself to (the will and guidance of) Allâh and (so have) those who follow me. And say to those who had been given the Scripture and to the unlettered, 'Have you also submitted yourselves?' Indeed, they will be following true guidance if they submit themselves (to the will of God). But if they turn back then your responsibility is only to convey (the message). Allâh is Ever Watchful of His servants.
"God wants you to know" that when people argue with you about faith, tell them that you have fully submitted yourself to Allah, and so have those who follow you. Submission to Allah means following His guidance and living according to His commands. This is the essence of being a Muslim, and it is what leads to true peace and fulfillment in life.
Also, tell the people who have been given the Scriptures before, like the Jews and Christians, as well as those who are unlettered or do not have a scripture, to ask themselves if they are ready to submit to the will of Allah. If they choose to submit and follow Allah’s guidance, they will find the right path. This submission is the key to being rightly guided, as it shows a willingness to accept the truth and follow the way of Allah.
"God wants you to know" that if they turn away and refuse to submit, your duty is only to convey the message. You are not responsible for forcing people to believe or accept the truth. Your role is to share the teachings of Islam clearly and sincerely, leaving the decision to them. Allah does not hold you accountable for their choices, as everyone is free to decide for themselves.
Remember, Allah is always watching over His servants. He knows what is in everyone's hearts and understands their intentions. He sees those who are sincere in their faith and those who turn away out of stubbornness or pride. Ultimately, Allah is the best judge of all, and He will reward or punish based on what each person deserves.
